An Exceptional Terroir 

Delimited in the south by the town of Ribeauvillé and in the east by the Grand Cru Geisberg, this place benefits from a south and south-west exposure which, associated with a very marked slope, gives it an excellent sunshine at the time of ripening. Its substrate consists, downstream, of triassic dolomitic marl and Lower Muschelkalk dolomites, upstream, of variegated sandstone and gypsiferous marl of the Middle Muschelkalk.
Clay soils, often very stony, welcome this vineyard located at an altitude of 270 to 350 m.

A Favored Variety

The Riesling makes the most of the qualities of sunshine of the locality which covers an area of 2.5 ha.

Cited for the first time in 1328, according to the famous historian Médard Barth, the Kirchberg covers one of the best terroirs of the town.
The wines from this terroir have for many years been the subject of a claim of the Kirchberg appellation.

The nose is open on notes of exotic fruits. Nice minerality. Soft attack, frank and straight mouth, beautiful material, we find exotic notes but also the minerality of the grand cru. The finish is long and frank. Ideal for your fish and seafood.

With aromas of white peach on the nose, this Grand Cru is already intense and open. The palate is marked by minerality with a sharp and lemony finish. A complex and pure wine.
